I'll be building my CBG at a Chickenbone John workshop in 5 days time. It is my intention to start getting to grips with the course - download & print stuff etc- every day in the interim. It is only by a determined effort that I shall get where I want to with this instrument. Hopefully making my level of commitment to practice public (in an anonymous sort of way) through this blog will be a spur to maintaining that effort!

That's great Chas, good to see that you're fired up. Have a great time at the workshop and let us know how you get on.
Be aware though that things change around here from time to time in response to feedback or I may just add some new lessons for the fun of it. This is one of the big advantages of an online course. If you download everything all in one go the later lessons may have been updated by the time you get to it. It's worth checking in every now and then.
Anyway have fun, great to have you on board and thatnks for starting your blog.
