Hi
My name is Patrick Curley, I'm a guitar player of close to 40 years now. I've taught many people over most of those long years and have learned much along the way. Most recently I've consolidated that learning with degrees in Contemporary Music and in Secondary Education. I've also relatively recently discovered Cigar Box Guitars and have fallen in love with them.
I'm a blues player with years of experience in electric and acoustic styles with and without a slide. I'm very excited about combining new information technologies with my playing experience and teaching practice to help you to find your voice on this most intriguing of instruments.
In the lessons on this site I've combined what I know about the guitar and how to teach it with my experiences teaching and workshopping Cigar Box Guitar playing at a number of festivals with my old mate Nigel McTrustry from CigarBoxGuitarsAustralia.com, himself a fine player and a craftsmen of very fine instruments indeed.
